Best Life Catalyst Appreciation Competition

Your Story Could Be the Light Someone Else Needs.

Every journey is different. Sometimes, the most powerful thing we can offer another person is the knowledge that they are not alone.

If you have experienced Best Life Catalyst, or have witnessed the impact this work has had on someone you love, your experience may be more meaningful than you realise.

We invite you to share your story as part of the Best Life Catalyst Appreciation Competition.

Closes 25 October 2026 · 23:59 South African time

Your experience matters.

Three winners · R15,400 programme voucher each

An invitation, with appreciation

Every Story Has the Power to Reach Someone.

At Best Life Catalyst, we believe that healing is not only about what changes within us. It is also about what becomes possible when we begin to understand ourselves differently.

Sometimes, a shift in understanding helps us recognise an old pattern. Sometimes, we begin responding differently to situations that once overwhelmed us. Sometimes, we simply discover that we are capable of more than we believed.

Your experience does not have to be dramatic, perfect, or extraordinary to matter. You do not have to tell a story of having everything figured out.

We are interested in your honest experience: what brought you to Best Life Catalyst, what stood out to you, what you learned, what you noticed, or what you would want someone else to know.

If you have witnessed the impact of this work through someone you love, your perspective matters too.

By sharing your experience, you may help another person feel seen, understood, or encouraged to explore the support available to them. Your words could encourage someone who has been struggling silently to take their first step towards healing, understanding, and a different way of living.

Please read these terms, conditions and rules carefully before entering the Best Life Catalyst Appreciation Competition.

By submitting an entry, you acknowledge that you have read and understood these rules and agree to be bound by them.

Participation is subject to the eligibility requirements, entry conditions, consent requirements, judging process, and prize conditions set out below.

1. COMPETITION ORGANISER

1.1. The Best Life Catalyst Appreciation Competition ("the Competition") is organised by Best Life Catalyst, founded by Desiree Matlala ("the Organiser").

1.2. Best Life Catalyst provides services and experiences that may include Rapid Transformational Therapy (RTT), hypnotherapy, coaching, group hypnosis experiences, educational activities, and related personal-development services.

1.3. The Competition is intended to celebrate the experiences of people who have engaged with Best Life Catalyst and, where applicable, the experiences of their eligible family members who have witnessed the impact of this work.

1.4. The Competition also aims to build a collection of authentic personal experiences and testimonials that may help other people understand the work of Best Life Catalyst and consider whether its services may be appropriate for them.

1.5. The Competition will be administered by the Organiser or by individuals authorised by the Organiser to assist with receiving entries, verifying eligibility, reviewing submissions, selecting winners, and administering prizes.

1.6. All references to "Best Life Catalyst", "the Organiser", "we", "us", or "our" in these rules refer to the Competition Organiser, unless the context indicates otherwise.

2. COMPETITION PURPOSE

2.1. The Competition has been created as an appreciation initiative to recognise the people who have experienced Best Life Catalyst and those who have witnessed the impact of its work through a qualifying family member.

2.2. The Competition invites eligible participants to share authentic video accounts of their personal experiences, observations, learning, or reflections relating to Best Life Catalyst.

2.3. The Organiser believes that hearing genuine experiences from other people may help individuals who are considering personal-development or therapeutic support make more informed decisions about exploring available services.

2.4. Entries may describe different kinds of experiences. Participants are not required to claim that their experience was life-changing, that a particular outcome was achieved, or that every person will experience the same results.

2.5. An entry will not be considered more deserving simply because it describes a dramatic experience, discloses deeply personal information, or makes particularly strong claims about the services received.

2.6. Participants are encouraged to share their experiences honestly, in their own words, and at a level of personal disclosure with which they are comfortable.

2.7. The Competition is not a clinical assessment, a therapeutic intervention, or a guarantee of any particular personal-development or therapeutic outcome.

3. COMPETITION PERIOD

3.1. The Competition will close on 25 October 2026.

3.2. An entry must be successfully submitted through the designated Best Life Catalyst Appreciation Competition page by the published closing time on the closing date to be considered for the Competition.

3.3. The Organiser must ensure that the closing time is clearly displayed on the Competition page before entries are submitted.

3.4. An entry that remains incomplete, has not finished uploading, or has not been successfully recorded by the submission system before the closing time may be treated as an unsuccessful entry.

3.5. Participants are encouraged to submit their entries in good time and not wait until the final minutes before the Competition closes.

3.6. The Organiser may not be held responsible for an entrant's failure to complete an upload because of the entrant's device, internet connection, file restrictions, or other circumstances outside the Organiser's reasonable control, subject to applicable law.

3.7. The Organiser will not introduce a new closing date or materially change the entry requirements in a manner that unfairly disadvantages participants. Any permitted change will be communicated appropriately and handled in accordance with applicable law.

4. ENTRY CATEGORIES

4.1. The Competition consists of two entry categories:

Category A: My Best Life Catalyst Experience

This category is for eligible individuals who have personally experienced a qualifying Best Life Catalyst service, session, activity, or event.

Category B: The Ripple Effect — Someone I Love

This category is for eligible family members who wish to share their own observations about the experience of a qualifying Best Life Catalyst client.

4.2. An entrant must select the category that accurately reflects the experience described in their video.

4.3. Each entry must be genuine and based on the entrant's own experience or personal observations.

4.4. An entrant may not impersonate another person, submit a video presented as someone else's personal testimony without authorisation, or knowingly misrepresent their relationship with a Best Life Catalyst client.

4.5. The Organiser may request reasonable additional information to verify the category selected, the qualifying experience, the relationship claimed, or the required permissions.

4.6. Meeting the category requirements does not automatically guarantee that an entry will win. All eligible entries will be considered in accordance with the judging provisions set out in these rules.

5. ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

5.1. The Competition is open to individuals who meet the applicable eligibility requirements in these rules.

5.2. To enter Category A, the entrant must have personally participated in at least one qualifying Best Life Catalyst service or activity.

5.3. Qualifying experiences may include:

  • A completed Rapid Transformational Therapy (RTT) session.
  • A coaching session or coaching programme.
  • Receiving or using a hypnosis recording prepared or provided by Best Life Catalyst.
  • Attending a qualifying Best Life Catalyst live event.
  • Participating in a Best Life Catalyst group hypnosis experience.

5.4. The entrant must be able to identify the qualifying service or activity on the entry form.

5.5. To enter Category B, the entrant must be an eligible family member of a person who has experienced a qualifying Best Life Catalyst service or activity.

5.6. For this Competition, eligible family relationships include:

  • A parent or child.
  • A spouse.
  • A sibling.
  • A person who lives in the same household as the qualifying client.

5.7. An entrant entering under Category B must identify the qualifying client and specify their relationship to that person.

5.8. The qualifying client must provide the required permission described in Clause 7 before the Ripple Effect entry can be accepted as an eligible entry.

5.9. The Organiser may verify whether the claimed qualifying experience and relationship meet the requirements of these rules. Such verification will be conducted with appropriate regard for the privacy of the people concerned.

5.10. No person will be required to disclose unnecessary medical information, a diagnosis, confidential therapeutic-session content, or intimate details of their personal history merely to establish eligibility.

5.11. An individual who does not meet the eligibility requirements may not enter by submitting a video that misrepresents their own experience or their relationship with a qualifying client.

5.12. The Organiser will not exclude a person from the Competition solely because they have an overdue account with Best Life Catalyst.

5.13. Where an entrant is under 18 years of age, participation will be subject to the applicable legal requirements and the Organiser's approved process for obtaining any necessary parent or legal guardian consent. No entry from a minor will be treated as eligible until those requirements have been satisfied.

5.14. The Organiser reserves the right to verify eligibility before confirming an entry as eligible for judging or awarding a prize.

6. CATEGORY A: MY BEST LIFE CATALYST EXPERIENCE

6.1. Category A is intended for people who wish to share their own experience of Best Life Catalyst.

6.2. An entrant may discuss any qualifying experience identified in Clause 5, provided the video accurately reflects their own participation.

6.3. An entrant may choose what aspects of their experience they wish to discuss.

6.4. An entrant may speak about matters such as:

  • What prompted them to seek or explore the service.
  • What they appreciated about their experience.
  • What stood out to them during a session, programme, or event.
  • Something they learned or came to understand.
  • An observation they made about themselves.
  • A change they personally noticed, if any.
  • What they would want another person to know about their experience.
  • How they would describe their experience to someone considering a similar service.

6.5. These prompts are suggestions only. An entrant is not required to answer every question or follow a particular script.

6.6. An entrant is not required to disclose trauma, abuse, a diagnosis, family conflict, or any other deeply personal matter.

6.7. Entries must reflect the entrant's genuine views and experiences. An entrant must not knowingly submit a fabricated testimonial or make a statement they know to be false.

6.8. The Organiser does not require every entrant to describe a positive outcome. Honest feedback about an experience may be submitted, provided the entry complies with the other requirements of these rules.

6.9. An entrant must have the right to submit the video and grant the marketing permission required by these rules.

6.10. The entrant must personally provide the mandatory marketing consent and accept the Competition terms, conditions and rules before submitting an eligible entry.

7. CATEGORY B: THE RIPPLE EFFECT — SOMEONE I LOVE

7.1. Category B allows an eligible family member to share their own observations about the experience of a qualifying Best Life Catalyst client.

7.2. The entrant must identify the qualifying client whose experience forms the basis of the Ripple Effect story.

7.3. The entrant must specify their relationship to that client on the entry form.

7.4. The entrant must describe their own observations, reflections, or experiences. They must not pretend to speak on behalf of the client or claim that the client has expressed a view that the client has not authorised them to share.

7.5. Mandatory permission from the qualifying client

Before a Ripple Effect entry can qualify for the Competition, the Organiser must obtain permission from the qualifying client for their family member to enter the Competition using a story that refers to that client and their experience with Best Life Catalyst.

7.6. The qualifying client's permission is a mandatory condition of eligibility for a Ripple Effect entry.

7.7. The family member's own marketing consent does not replace the qualifying client's permission. Both permissions are required.

7.8. The Organiser will use a process to obtain and record the qualifying client's permission before treating the Ripple Effect entry as eligible.

7.9. The Organiser may contact the identified client directly using contact details already held lawfully by Best Life Catalyst, or another appropriate method, to explain the proposed entry and obtain the required permission.

7.10. The qualifying client must be given sufficient information to understand that:

  • A family member wishes to enter the Best Life Catalyst Appreciation Competition.
  • The family member intends to discuss observations relating to the client's experience with Best Life Catalyst.
  • The Competition requires the entrant to grant marketing permission for their submitted video and story.
  • The qualifying client's permission is required before the entry can qualify.
  • The qualifying client is not required to disclose their own confidential therapeutic-session content.
  • The qualifying client may decline permission without being penalised by Best Life Catalyst for doing so.

7.11. If the qualifying client declines permission, does not provide permission, or cannot be reached to obtain the required permission, the Ripple Effect entry will not qualify under Category B.

7.12. The Organiser will not treat silence, a lack of response, or the family relationship itself as consent.

7.13. The qualifying client must not be pressured to provide permission. Their decision must be respected.

7.14. Limits on the family member's story

The entrant must take reasonable care not to disclose the qualifying client's confidential or sensitive information without the necessary permission.

7.15. The family member should focus on their own observations, such as what they personally noticed, what stood out to them, or how the experience appeared to affect their interactions with the client.

7.16. The entrant must not disclose confidential information from an RTT session, private coaching conversation, hypnosis session, or other confidential interaction merely because they are related to the client.

7.17. Permission to enter the Competition using a story about a qualifying client does not automatically authorise disclosure of every aspect of that client's personal history.

7.18. The Organiser may ask the entrant to remove or clarify material that appears to disclose information outside the scope of the permission obtained.

7.19. A Ripple Effect entry must also satisfy all other applicable requirements of these rules, including the entrant's own mandatory marketing consent and acceptance of the Competition terms.

7.20. The Organiser will retain an appropriate record of the qualifying client's permission for Competition administration and to demonstrate that the required permission was obtained.

7.21. The qualifying client's permission is a condition for the entry to qualify. It does not, by itself, guarantee that the entry will be selected as a winner.

8–15 · Entry process, video requirements and consent

8. HOW TO ENTER THE COMPETITION

8.1. An eligible individual may enter the Competition by completing the official entry form on the Best Life Catalyst Appreciation Competition webpage.

8.2. To submit an entry, the entrant must:

a. Select the appropriate entry category.

b. Complete the required personal and contact information.

c. Identify the qualifying Best Life Catalyst service, activity, or experience relevant to the entry.

d. Where entering under the Ripple Effect category, identify the qualifying client, specify their relationship to that client, and ensure that the Organiser obtains the client's mandatory permission in accordance with Clause 7.

e. Record a video that meets the requirements of these rules.

f. Upload the video using the designated Competition entry form.

g. Select whether their story may be publicly attributed to their real name or an alias.

h. Read the Competition terms, conditions and rules.

i. Provide the mandatory marketing consent described in Clause 12.

j. Confirm acceptance of the Competition terms, conditions and rules by selecting the designated acknowledgement checkbox.

k. Submit the completed entry.

8.3. Both the marketing consent checkbox and the terms-and-conditions acknowledgement checkbox must be selected before the entry can be submitted successfully.

8.4. Neither checkbox will be preselected.

8.5. The entry form must clearly explain any required information and provide helpful instructions where an entrant has omitted a required field.

8.6. An entry will be treated as submitted only when the video upload has completed successfully and the entry has been recorded by the Competition submission system.

8.7. The Organiser may contact an entrant to clarify information or resolve an administrative issue relating to an entry. Such contact does not guarantee that the entry will qualify or win.

8.8. The Organiser may request additional information reasonably necessary to verify eligibility, confirm the required permissions, or administer the Competition.

8.9. An entrant must provide accurate information and may not deliberately misrepresent their identity, qualifying experience, relationship, permissions, or eligibility.

8.10. The Organiser may not accept an entry that is incomplete, cannot be accessed, does not satisfy the entry requirements, or is submitted after the Competition closing time.

8.11. Where an entry is affected by a technical issue, the Organiser may consider the circumstances and any reasonable remedy permitted by applicable law and the published Competition rules.

8.12. Entry is not confirmed as eligible merely because the entrant receives an automated submission acknowledgement. Eligibility remains subject to verification in accordance with these rules.

9. KEEP IT SIMPLE: VIDEO RECORDING REQUIREMENTS

9.1. The purpose of the video is to allow the entrant to share an authentic personal experience or, in the case of a Ripple Effect entry, their own observations about the experience of a qualifying client.

9.2. Entrants are encouraged to record their videos in whichever way feels natural and comfortable to them.

9.3. A smartphone and its selfie camera are sufficient. Entrants do not need professional recording equipment, a camera operator, a studio, or specialist editing software.

9.4. An entrant may record a video directly using their phone's standard camera application.

9.5. An entrant may alternatively use a social media application, such as TikTok, to record their video, including with a filter they personally like, provided that the resulting video can be uploaded to the Competition entry form and complies with these rules.

9.6. An entrant may record their video in one take or edit it before submission.

9.7. The recording method, location, background, lighting, clothing, camera angle, and use or non-use of filters will not, in themselves, determine whether an entry qualifies or wins.

9.8. Entrants are not required to use filters, editing, music, captions, transitions, or special effects.

9.9. Entrants do not need to publish their videos publicly on TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, or any other social media platform to enter the Competition.

9.10. An entrant who records a video using a social media application may save or download the resulting video and upload the video file directly to the Competition webpage.

9.11. Where an application offers a private or restricted-audience publishing option, an entrant may use that option to prepare or store their video, provided that they can subsequently upload the actual video file to the Competition entry form.

9.12. Posting a video privately on another platform does not, by itself, constitute entry into this Competition. The entrant must still upload the video through the official Best Life Catalyst Appreciation Competition entry form.

9.13. The entrant is responsible for ensuring that the submitted video is accessible and that any music, images, footage, or other material included in it does not unlawfully infringe another person's rights.

9.14. Entrants are encouraged to avoid including background music or other material that may prevent Best Life Catalyst from lawfully using the video for the marketing purposes covered by the entrant's consent.

9.15. An entrant does not need to memorise a script or speak in a particular style.

9.16. An entrant may speak naturally, pause to collect their thoughts, or record the video again if they wish.

9.17. There is no requirement to disclose traumatic experiences, private family matters, medical information, diagnoses, or other sensitive personal information to create a qualifying video.

9.18. The Organiser encourages entrants to share only information they are comfortable having used for the purposes described in these rules.

10. VIDEO CONTENT AND ACCEPTABLE ENTRIES

10.1. Each video must relate to the entry category selected by the entrant and must reflect a genuine personal experience or observation.

10.2. The entrant must have the right to submit the video and grant the permissions required by these rules.

10.3. A video must not:

a. Knowingly contain materially false statements about the entrant's experience or the services provided.

b. Impersonate another person or falsely claim to represent another person's experience.

c. Include unlawful, threatening, harassing, or deliberately defamatory material.

d. Contain material that infringes another person's copyright, privacy, or other applicable legal rights.

e. Disclose another person's confidential or sensitive personal information without the necessary permission.

f. Be submitted fraudulently or as part of an attempt to manipulate the Competition.

g. Contain material that the entrant does not have the right to submit or authorise for the purposes contemplated by these rules.

10.4. The Organiser may exclude an entry that materially breaches these requirements, subject to the other provisions of these rules and applicable law.

10.5. An entry will not be disqualified simply because the entrant appears nervous, speaks imperfectly, uses a filter, records in an ordinary home environment, or does not produce a professionally edited video.

10.6. The Organiser is interested in the authenticity and substance of the entrant's experience, not the production budget behind the video.

10.7. An entrant is not required to praise every aspect of a service or claim a particular result. Any experience shared must, however, be genuine and must comply with the other requirements of these rules.

10.8. The Organiser may decline to publish or may request an appropriate edit to material that creates an unreasonable risk of disclosing confidential information, infringing third-party rights, or misleading the public.

10.9. Any material alteration of a testimonial for publication must not knowingly misrepresent the entrant's experience or materially change the meaning of the entrant's statements.

11. VIDEO UPLOAD AND SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS

11.1. Videos must be uploaded through the official Competition webpage.

11.2. The Competition webpage will display the permitted file formats, maximum file size, and any applicable video-duration limits before an entrant begins uploading.

11.3. The Organiser may establish reasonable technical limits to ensure that videos can be uploaded, stored, reviewed, and used appropriately.

11.4. Such limits must be communicated clearly on the entry page before submission.

11.5. The entrant is responsible for ensuring that the correct video file has been selected and uploaded.

11.6. The entrant should check that the video plays, that their voice can be heard, and that the submitted file represents the intended entry.

11.7. An entry is not complete until the upload has finished successfully and the submission system has recorded the entry.

11.8. If an upload fails, the entrant should follow the instructions displayed on the Competition webpage and retry the upload where possible.

11.9. The Organiser may not be responsible for an entrant's device malfunction, unstable internet connection, incompatible file, insufficient device storage, or other technical issue outside the Organiser's reasonable control, subject to applicable law.

11.10. An entrant must not attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Competition submission system or interfere with the submissions of other entrants.

11.11. The Organiser will take reasonable steps to restrict access to submitted videos to authorised individuals involved in administering, verifying, judging, or otherwise lawfully managing the Competition.

11.12. Submitted videos will not automatically be made publicly available merely because an entrant uploads them.

11.13. Uploading a video does not automatically publish it on any Best Life Catalyst social media account or other public platform.

11.14. Publication and other permitted uses of an entry will be governed by the marketing consent and other applicable provisions of these rules.

11.15. An entrant should retain a copy of their original video until the Competition has concluded and any applicable queries about their entry have been resolved.

12. MANDATORY MARKETING CONSENT

12.1. Why marketing consent is required

The Best Life Catalyst Appreciation Competition is intended, among other purposes, to build a library of authentic experiences that may be shared with a wider audience.

By sharing their experiences, entrants may help other people understand the services offered by Best Life Catalyst and consider whether those services are appropriate for them.

For this reason, permission to use the submitted story for the marketing purposes described in these rules is a mandatory condition of entry.

12.2. Required consent

Every entrant must personally provide the following consent through the designated, initially unchecked checkbox on the Competition entry form:

"I consent to Best Life Catalyst using my submitted video, story, and relevant excerpts for marketing, promotional, educational, and awareness purposes, including on its website, social media platforms, marketing materials, presentations, and events, in accordance with the competition terms and conditions."

12.3. The entrant must actively select the checkbox to indicate consent.

12.4. The checkbox must not be preselected, and the submission system must not permit an entry to be submitted without the required consent.

12.5. The entrant must be given access to the Competition terms before being asked to confirm the consent.

12.6. Consent must not be inferred from the act of uploading a video, participating in a session, attending an event, or maintaining a relationship with Best Life Catalyst.

12.7. The Organiser must retain a record of the consent provided, including the date and time of the acknowledgement and the version of the relevant terms presented to the entrant.

12.8. Permitted marketing uses

Subject to these rules, the entrant's consent authorises Best Life Catalyst to use the submitted video, story, and relevant excerpts for the following purposes:

a. Publishing testimonials on the Best Life Catalyst website.

b. Publishing or sharing content on Best Life Catalyst's official social media accounts.

c. Using testimonial material in promotional campaigns and advertisements.

d. Including relevant excerpts in presentations, educational materials, talks, workshops, and events.

e. Including testimonial material in marketing communications and other promotional materials.

f. Editing the video for length, clarity, format, captions, subtitles, or compatibility with different platforms, provided that the editing does not knowingly misrepresent the entrant's experience.

g. Using relevant portions of the story in text-based promotional material, provided the meaning is not materially distorted.

12.9. The Organiser may use appropriate technical adaptations of the submitted material to suit the intended platform or format.

12.10. The entrant does not automatically grant permission to use unrelated personal information, confidential therapeutic records, or material that was not included in the submitted story.

12.11. The Organiser must not knowingly present the entrant's testimonial in a way that materially misrepresents what the entrant said or implies that an individual outcome is guaranteed for others.

12.12. Marketing use must remain within the scope of the consent and applicable law.

12.13. Real name or alias

Every entrant must select their preferred public attribution option on the entry form.

The available options are:

  • Use my real name.
  • Use an alias.

12.14. An entrant who selects an alias must provide the alias they wish Best Life Catalyst to use when publicly attributing their story.

12.15. Where an alias is selected, the Organiser will use that alias for public attribution, subject to reasonable moderation and any applicable legal requirements.

12.16. Choosing an alias does not remove the requirement to provide accurate identification and contact information privately for eligibility verification and Competition administration.

12.17. The entrant's legal name and contact information will not be displayed publicly merely because the entrant has submitted an entry.

12.18. The Organiser will take reasonable steps to respect the selected attribution preference when publishing the entrant's story.

12.19. An entrant should understand that their identity may nevertheless be recognisable from the content of their video, their voice, their face, or details they choose to disclose, even if an alias is used.

12.20. An alias is therefore a public-attribution preference and should not be understood as a guarantee of anonymity.

12.21. Use of submitted material after the Competition

The permission granted under Clause 12 applies to the permitted marketing uses described in these rules and is not limited solely to announcing the Competition winners.

12.22. Best Life Catalyst may retain and use submitted material for those permitted purposes after the Competition has concluded, subject to applicable law, the published privacy notice, and any applicable rights or obligations concerning withdrawal of consent.

12.23. The Organiser will not promise that content already published online can always be completely removed from the internet or recovered from third parties who may have copied or shared it.

12.24. Where a participant raises a concern about a particular use of their story, the Organiser will consider the concern and respond in accordance with the applicable legal requirements and the circumstances.

12.25. The handling of personal information, requests relating to consent, and any applicable retention or deletion obligations will be addressed further in the privacy provisions of these rules.

13. MANDATORY ACCEPTANCE OF THE COMPETITION RULES

13.1. Every entrant must be given access to the complete Competition terms, conditions and rules before submitting an entry.

13.2. The entry form must display a separate, initially unchecked acknowledgement checkbox containing the following exact wording:

"I have read and understood the terms, conditions and rules of the competition."

13.3. The entrant must actively select this checkbox to confirm acceptance.

13.4. The checkbox must not be preselected.

13.5. An entry may not be submitted successfully unless the entrant has selected both:

a. The mandatory marketing consent checkbox in Clause 12; and

b. The mandatory terms-and-conditions acknowledgement checkbox in this clause.

13.6. The marketing consent and terms acceptance must remain separate acknowledgements. Neither checkbox may be treated as a substitute for the other.

13.7. The Organiser will retain a record of the entrant's acknowledgement, including the date and time and the version of the rules presented.

13.8. An entrant must not attempt to bypass, manipulate, or circumvent the required consent or acceptance process.

13.9. If the Organiser identifies that an entry was submitted through a technical defect that bypassed a mandatory requirement, the Organiser may investigate and determine the appropriate response in accordance with these rules and applicable law.

13.10. Submission of an entry does not guarantee eligibility, selection as a winner, or receipt of a prize.

14. ADDITIONAL PERMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR RIPPLE EFFECT ENTRIES

14.1. In addition to the entrant's own marketing consent and acceptance of the Competition rules, every Ripple Effect entry must satisfy the client-permission requirements in Clause 7.

14.2. The entrant must identify the qualifying client whose experience is being discussed.

14.3. The Organiser must obtain and record that client's permission before confirming the Ripple Effect entry as eligible.

14.4. The qualifying client's permission must relate to the proposed entry and must be obtained through a process that allows the client to understand what they are authorising.

14.5. The client must not be treated as having granted permission merely because they previously attended a session, participated in a programme, gave a testimonial, or permitted Best Life Catalyst to use other material.

14.6. If the qualifying client does not provide the required permission, the Ripple Effect entry will not qualify under that category.

14.7. The entrant's own consent does not authorise Best Life Catalyst to disregard the privacy rights of the qualifying client.

14.8. The Organiser will take reasonable steps to ensure that a Ripple Effect story does not disclose confidential information beyond the scope of the permissions obtained.

14.9. If a permission issue is identified after submission but before judging is completed, the Organiser may place the entry on hold while the issue is clarified.

14.10. An entry that does not satisfy the mandatory permission requirements cannot be confirmed as an eligible Ripple Effect entry.

15. NO REQUIREMENT TO DISCLOSE PRIVATE OR TRAUMATIC EXPERIENCES

15.1. Best Life Catalyst recognises that participants may have personal experiences involving sensitive or difficult subjects.

15.2. No entrant is required to describe traumatic events, abuse, family conflict, a diagnosis, or other intimate personal experiences to participate in the Competition.

15.3. Entrants are encouraged to share only information that they genuinely wish to disclose and that they understand may be used for the permitted purposes described in these rules.

15.4. An entrant may focus on their general experience, what stood out to them, what they appreciated, what they learned, or what they would like another person to understand.

15.5. The Organiser will not require an entrant to reveal additional sensitive information merely to make an entry appear more compelling.

15.6. A Ripple Effect entrant must exercise particular care when discussing another person's experience. The required permission does not eliminate the need to respect confidentiality and avoid unnecessary disclosure of sensitive information.

15.7. The Organiser may decline to use or may request appropriate amendments to material that appears to disclose information outside the scope of the permissions obtained or otherwise creates a legitimate privacy concern.

15.8. Nothing in this clause guarantees that all information shared in a video can be kept confidential after the entrant has authorised its publication for marketing purposes. Entrants should consider the implications of sharing material that may identify themselves or other people.

16–24 · Judging, prizes and winner selection

16. ENTRY REVIEW AND ELIGIBILITY VERIFICATION

16.1. All submitted entries will be subject to an administrative review to determine whether they satisfy the eligibility requirements and entry conditions set out in these rules.

16.2. The Organiser may review an entry to establish whether:

a. The entrant has selected the correct entry category.

b. The entrant has identified a qualifying Best Life Catalyst experience.

c. The required entry information has been provided.

d. The submitted video is accessible and can be reviewed.

e. The entrant has provided the mandatory marketing consent.

f. The entrant has accepted the Competition terms, conditions and rules.

g. Any additional permission required for a Ripple Effect entry has been obtained and recorded.

h. The entry complies with the other applicable requirements of these rules.

16.3. An entry that is incomplete or does not satisfy the eligibility requirements may be classified as ineligible.

16.4. Where an entry requires additional verification, the Organiser may temporarily classify it as pending while the relevant information or permission is obtained.

16.5. A Ripple Effect entry must remain pending until the Organiser has obtained the qualifying client's required permission.

16.6. An entry will not be treated as eligible for final judging until all applicable mandatory requirements have been satisfied.

16.7. The Organiser may contact an entrant to clarify information or request reasonable evidence relating to eligibility.

16.8. The Organiser may exclude an entry where there are reasonable grounds to conclude that it is fraudulent, materially misleading, improperly submitted, or in breach of these rules.

16.9. Any eligibility decision must be made consistently with these rules and applicable law.

16.10. The Organiser will take reasonable steps to ensure that an entry is not rejected merely because the entrant has limited technical experience or has recorded the video using an ordinary smartphone without professional editing.

16.11. Administrative verification is separate from judging. An entry must first satisfy the applicable eligibility requirements before it can be considered for a prize.

17. JUDGING PROCESS

17.1. Eligible entries will be assessed by the Organiser or by individuals appointed by the Organiser to assist with judging.

17.2. The judging process will be based on the published judging criteria in Clause 18.

17.3. The Organiser will seek to apply the criteria consistently and fairly across eligible entries.

17.4. The Competition is intended to recognise genuine experiences and meaningful communication. It is not intended to reward the entrant who has experienced the greatest hardship or who discloses the most intimate personal information.

17.5. Entrants will not be required to disclose traumatic events, diagnoses, confidential therapeutic information, or other sensitive personal details to improve their chances of winning.

17.6. Professional video quality, expensive equipment, advanced editing, elaborate backgrounds, and the use of filters will not, in themselves, determine the outcome.

17.7. The Organiser may consider the clarity, authenticity, relevance, and substance of an eligible entry in accordance with the published criteria.

17.8. The Organiser will retain an appropriate record of the judging process and the basis on which the winners were selected.

17.9. The Competition will have three winners.

17.10. The Organiser will not promise that any particular entry will win, regardless of the entrant's experience, the quality of their story, or the nature of the services they have received.

17.11. An entrant's participation in the Competition does not affect the services they have received or any future service they may seek from Best Life Catalyst.

17.12. An entrant will not be required to purchase an additional Best Life Catalyst service to have their entry considered.

18. JUDGING CRITERIA

18.1. Each eligible entry will be assessed against the following criteria.

A. Authenticity and sincerity

The entry should appear to reflect the entrant's genuine experience or personal observations.

The entrant should speak in their own words and describe an experience they can reasonably represent as their own.

B. Relevance to Best Life Catalyst

The entry should relate meaningfully to a qualifying Best Life Catalyst service, session, activity, or experience.

For a Ripple Effect entry, the entrant's observations must relate to the experience of the identified qualifying client, and the required permission must have been obtained.

C. Clarity of the story

The entry should communicate an understandable account of the entrant's experience, reflections, or observations.

Entrants do not need to speak perfectly, use elaborate language, or follow a script.

D. Personal meaning or insight

The entry may demonstrate what the entrant appreciated, learned, noticed, or found meaningful about the experience.

There is no requirement to describe a dramatic transformation or a particular outcome.

E. Potential to encourage or inform others

The entry may offer an insight or perspective that could help another person understand the experience of engaging with Best Life Catalyst.

This criterion does not require an entrant to make promotional claims, guarantee outcomes, or recommend a service that they would not genuinely recommend.

18.2. The Organiser may use a scoring framework to apply these criteria consistently.

18.3. If a numerical scoring framework is used, it must be applied consistently to the eligible entries being compared.

18.4. The Organiser may consider the criteria collectively rather than treating any single criterion as automatically decisive.

18.5. An entrant will not receive a higher score merely because they disclose more sensitive personal information or describe more severe hardship.

18.6. An entrant will not be penalised simply because their experience differs from that of another entrant.

18.7. The Organiser may appoint more than one judge where appropriate.

18.8. Any judge who has a material conflict of interest in relation to a particular entry should disclose that conflict and should not participate in deciding that entry where doing so would compromise the fairness of the process.

18.9. The Organiser's selection of winners will be subject to the published criteria, the applicable provisions of these rules, and applicable law.

19. THE PRIZES

19.1. The Competition has three prizes.

19.2. Each prize consists of one transferable Stop Shrinking Targeted programme voucher issued by Best Life Catalyst.

19.3. The proposed stated value of each voucher is R15,400, subject to confirmation of the final prize valuation before publication of the Competition.

19.4. If that valuation is confirmed, the total stated value of all three prizes will be R46,200.

19.5. The final Competition webpage and published rules must state the same confirmed prize value.

19.6. Each voucher entitles its holder to participate in the Stop Shrinking Targeted programme in accordance with the programme inclusions and conditions applicable to the voucher.

19.7. The voucher is intended to provide access to the specified programme. It is not a cash award.

19.8. The voucher may be transferred to another eligible person in accordance with Clause 20.

19.9. The Organiser will explain the applicable booking arrangements, programme commencement dates, and redemption requirements to the winner when the prize is awarded.

19.10. The prize does not include any additional service, product, accommodation, travel, expense, or benefit unless that inclusion is expressly stated in the final approved prize description.

19.11. The prize may not be exchanged for cash.

19.12. A winner may not demand a cash payment equivalent to the stated prize value.

19.13. The Organiser will not represent the voucher as a cash-equivalent award.

19.14. The prize must be redeemed in accordance with the applicable programme arrangements communicated to the winner.

19.15. Any material restrictions affecting access to the programme, the voucher's validity, booking, or redemption must be disclosed clearly before the Competition opens.

19.16. The Organiser must not introduce material prize restrictions after the Competition has opened in a manner that unfairly disadvantages entrants.

19.17. The final prize description must accurately reflect the programme that will be available to the voucher holder.

20. TRANSFERABILITY OF THE PRIZE

20.1. Each Stop Shrinking Targeted programme voucher is transferable.

20.2. A winner may choose to use the voucher personally or transfer it to another eligible person.

20.3. A winner who wishes to transfer the voucher must notify the Organiser and provide the information reasonably necessary to identify the intended recipient and administer the transfer.

20.4. The intended recipient must satisfy any reasonable eligibility and participation requirements applicable to the Stop Shrinking Targeted programme.

20.5. A transfer will take effect once the Organiser has confirmed the transfer and recorded the new voucher holder.

20.6. The original winner may not sell the voucher for cash or represent the voucher as a cash award.

20.7. The voucher may not be divided into separate prizes or exchanged for a combination of unrelated services unless the Organiser expressly agrees in writing and the arrangement is permitted by applicable law.

20.8. Once the transfer has been completed, the recipient will be responsible for arranging redemption in accordance with the programme requirements.

20.9. The Organiser may decline a proposed transfer only on reasonable grounds, including an inability to verify the intended recipient, a failure to satisfy legitimate programme eligibility requirements, or a legal restriction.

20.10. The Organiser will communicate any applicable transfer requirements clearly to the winner.

21. WINNER SELECTION AND VERIFICATION

21.1. Three winners will be selected from the eligible entries received before the Competition closing time.

21.2. Only entries that satisfy the applicable eligibility requirements and mandatory consent conditions will be considered for a prize.

21.3. The winners will be selected through the judging process described in Clauses 17 and 18.

21.4. The Organiser will verify that each proposed winner meets the applicable eligibility requirements before confirming the award.

21.5. The Organiser may request reasonable additional information from a proposed winner to verify their identity, eligibility, or compliance with these rules.

21.6. Where a proposed winner entered through the Ripple Effect category, the Organiser must also verify that the qualifying client's required permission was obtained and recorded.

21.7. A proposed winner will not be confirmed until the applicable verification process has been completed.

21.8. If a proposed winner is found to be ineligible, the Organiser may exclude that entry and select an alternative winner from the remaining eligible entries using the published judging process.

21.9. Any alternative winner must independently satisfy the applicable eligibility and consent requirements.

21.10. The Organiser will keep an appropriate record of the final winner selection and any alternative selection made under this clause.

21.11. The Organiser will not select a winner solely on the basis of an entrant's willingness to disclose sensitive information or make an unusually strong promotional claim.

21.12. All winner selections remain subject to applicable law and the published Competition rules.

22. NOTIFICATION OF WINNERS

22.1. The Organiser will contact each winner using the contact details supplied in their entry.

22.2. The Organiser may use email, telephone, or another reasonable direct communication method for this purpose.

22.3. The Competition webpage will communicate the expected winner-announcement arrangements once those arrangements have been confirmed.

22.4. Winners may be asked to confirm receipt of the notification and provide information reasonably necessary to administer the prize.

22.5. A winner must respond within the response period specified in the winner notification.

22.6. The Organiser will communicate the applicable response deadline clearly when notifying the winner.

22.7. If a winner cannot be reached after reasonable attempts, declines the prize, fails to complete the required verification, or does not respond within the stated period, the Organiser may proceed in accordance with Clause 23.

22.8. The Organiser will not require a winner to purchase an additional service as a condition of receiving the prize.

22.9. A winner will not be required to make additional promotional claims about Best Life Catalyst as a condition of accepting the prize.

22.10. The Organiser will communicate the practical arrangements for redeeming the voucher after the winner has been verified.

23. UNCLAIMED, DECLINED OR FORFEITED PRIZES

23.1. If a winner declines a prize, cannot reasonably be contacted, fails to complete the required verification, or does not respond within the stated response period, the Organiser may treat the prize as unclaimed, subject to applicable law.

23.2. Before treating a prize as unclaimed because a winner has not responded, the Organiser will take reasonable steps to contact the winner using the contact details provided.

23.3. Where a prize remains unclaimed, the Organiser may select an alternative winner from the remaining eligible entries using the published judging criteria.

23.4. Any alternative selection must be conducted consistently with these rules and applicable law.

23.5. If no suitable alternative winner can be selected, or if the prize cannot lawfully be awarded, the Organiser will take the steps required by applicable law and any applicable promotional-competition requirements.

23.6. A winner who declines a prize will not be entitled to receive its stated value in cash.

23.7. The Organiser will not substitute a materially different prize without a legitimate reason and without complying with applicable law.

23.8. Any material issue affecting the award or redemption of a prize will be handled fairly and communicated to the affected winner.

24. PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT OF WINNERS

24.1. The Organiser may announce the names or selected public attribution names of the winners through appropriate Best Life Catalyst communication channels, subject to applicable law and the relevant permissions.

24.2. The Organiser will respect the winner's recorded choice of real-name or alias attribution when publicly identifying them, subject to reasonable legal and administrative requirements.

24.3. The Organiser will not publish a winner's private contact information.

24.4. Publicly announcing a winner does not automatically authorise the Organiser to publish the winner's entire submitted video or disclose additional personal information beyond the permissions and legal basis applicable to that use.

24.5. Any publication of the winner's testimonial video or story must remain within the scope of the applicable marketing consent and the other requirements of these rules.

24.6. The Organiser may communicate the conclusion of the Competition and celebrate the winning entries without disclosing unnecessary personal information.

24.7. The Organiser will not imply that a winner's experience or results are guaranteed to be achieved by other people who participate in a similar service.

25–36 · Disqualification, privacy and general provisions

25. DISQUALIFICATION AND INVALID ENTRIES

25.1. The Organiser reserves the right to investigate an entry where there are reasonable grounds to suspect that the entry does not comply with these rules.

25.2. An entry may be disqualified where the Organiser reasonably determines that:

a. The entrant does not meet the applicable eligibility requirements.

b. The entrant has knowingly provided materially false information.

c. The entrant has submitted a fabricated testimonial or deliberately misrepresented their experience.

d. The entrant has impersonated another person or falsely claimed to have permission to submit another person's story.

e. The entrant has failed to provide the mandatory marketing consent.

f. The entrant has failed to accept the Competition terms, conditions and rules.

g. A Ripple Effect entry has been submitted without the qualifying client's required permission.

h. The entrant has knowingly submitted a video that unlawfully infringes another person's rights.

i. The entrant has deliberately attempted to manipulate the judging process.

j. The entrant has interfered with the Competition submission system or attempted to obtain unauthorised access to private entries.

k. The entrant has otherwise materially breached these rules.

25.3. The Organiser may request reasonable clarification or supporting information before making a final decision where the circumstances permit.

25.4. Where a breach can reasonably be corrected without unfairly disadvantaging other entrants, the Organiser may allow the entrant an opportunity to correct the issue before the relevant deadline.

25.5. An entry may not be treated as eligible for judging while a mandatory eligibility or consent requirement remains unsatisfied.

25.6. The Organiser will apply these provisions consistently and in accordance with applicable law.

25.7. The Organiser will not disqualify an entrant merely because the entrant records a video using an ordinary smartphone, speaks imperfectly, uses a filter, or chooses not to disclose sensitive personal information.

25.8. An entrant's refusal to provide information that is not reasonably necessary for eligibility verification or Competition administration will not, by itself, justify disqualification.

25.9. The Organiser will not introduce an overdue-account restriction. An entrant will not be disqualified solely because they have an outstanding or overdue account with Best Life Catalyst.

25.10. Where an entry is disqualified after a winner has been provisionally identified, the Organiser may select an alternative winner in accordance with the published judging process and applicable law.

25.11. Any disqualification decision must be based on the requirements of these rules and the circumstances of the entry.

26. MULTIPLE ENTRIES AND ENTRY INTEGRITY

26.1. Each entry must represent a genuine and distinct submission by an eligible entrant.

26.2. Entrants must not submit duplicate entries through false identities or other means intended to manipulate the Competition.

26.3. The Organiser may establish and communicate a reasonable entry limit before the Competition opens.

26.4. Any entry limit must be applied consistently and must be disclosed on the Competition webpage before an entrant submits an entry.

26.5. Where duplicate submissions are identified, the Organiser may contact the entrant to clarify which submission should be considered.

26.6. The Organiser may exclude submissions that are demonstrably fraudulent, duplicated in breach of an announced entry limit, or intended to manipulate the Competition.

26.7. The Organiser will not impose an undisclosed entry limit retrospectively in a manner that unfairly disadvantages participants.

26.8. Any attempt to interfere with the integrity of the Competition may result in the affected entry being excluded, subject to applicable law.

27. PRIVACY AND PROTECTION OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

27.1. Best Life Catalyst recognises that competition entries may contain personal information, including names, contact details, images, voices, personal experiences, and information about relationships.

27.2. The Organiser will handle personal information in accordance with applicable South African privacy and data-protection law, including the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA), where applicable.

27.3. Personal information will be collected for legitimate purposes connected with the Competition, including:

a. Receiving and administering entries.

b. Verifying eligibility.

c. Obtaining and recording required permissions.

d. Reviewing and judging eligible entries.

e. Contacting entrants about their submissions.

f. Identifying and verifying winners.

g. Awarding and administering prizes.

h. Managing questions, complaints, and disputes.

i. Meeting applicable legal and regulatory obligations.

j. Using submitted videos and stories for the marketing purposes expressly authorised under these rules.

27.4. The Organiser will seek to collect only the personal information reasonably necessary for these purposes.

27.5. Entrants will not be required to provide a detailed medical history, diagnosis, identity document, or confidential therapeutic record merely to submit an entry, unless a specific legal requirement or legitimate administrative need justifies the request.

27.6. The Organiser will take reasonable steps to protect personal information against unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, loss, or destruction.

27.7. Access to original video files, legal names, contact details, consent records, and other non-public submission information will be restricted to authorised individuals who require access for legitimate Competition-related purposes.

27.8. Personal information will not be published publicly merely because it has been provided through the entry form.

27.9. The Organiser will not publish an entrant's private contact details as part of a testimonial or winner announcement.

27.10. The Organiser will not knowingly disclose a person's confidential therapeutic-session content through the Competition merely because a video has been submitted.

27.11. The Organiser will take reasonable steps to ensure that the handling of information relating to Ripple Effect entries respects both the entrant's privacy and the privacy of the qualifying client.

27.12. The Organiser may use authorised service providers to support the operation of the Competition, including website hosting, secure file storage, communication, and administration.

27.13. Where service providers process personal information on behalf of Best Life Catalyst, appropriate safeguards and contractual arrangements will be considered as required by applicable law.

27.14. Where personal information is transferred to or accessed from another country, the Organiser will address any applicable legal requirements governing cross-border transfers.

27.15. The Organiser will not claim that information is stored exclusively in South Africa, or that a particular security certification applies, unless that statement can be substantiated.

27.16. Entrants may exercise applicable rights concerning their personal information by contacting Best Life Catalyst through the designated business contact channel.

27.17. Requests relating to access, correction, objection, deletion, or other data-protection rights will be considered in accordance with applicable law.

27.18. The Organiser may retain information where reasonably necessary for Competition administration, legal compliance, the resolution of disputes, or the establishment or defence of legal claims, subject to applicable retention requirements.

27.19. Personal information will not be retained indefinitely merely because it was collected for the Competition. Retention and deletion will be managed in accordance with the applicable privacy notice, the purposes for which the information is held, and applicable law.

27.20. The Organiser will make the applicable privacy notice available to entrants before submission.

27.21. The privacy notice and these Competition rules should be read together. If a question arises concerning the processing of personal information, the Organiser will address it in accordance with applicable privacy law.

28. CONFIDENTIALITY AND SENSITIVE EXPERIENCES

28.1. Entrants are encouraged to consider carefully what they choose to disclose in their videos.

28.2. The Competition is not intended to encourage participants to reveal traumatic experiences, diagnoses, intimate relationship details, or confidential information merely to make their stories more compelling.

28.3. An entrant may discuss their general experience, personal insights, observations, or other aspects they genuinely wish to share.

28.4. An entrant should not include another person's confidential or sensitive information without the necessary permission or other lawful basis.

28.5. A Ripple Effect entrant must exercise particular care when discussing the qualifying client's experience.

28.6. The qualifying client's permission for a Ripple Effect entry does not automatically authorise the disclosure of confidential information from an RTT session, coaching session, or other private interaction.

28.7. The Organiser may ask an entrant to amend or remove information that appears to exceed the scope of the permissions obtained or that raises a legitimate privacy or legal concern.

28.8. Submitted videos will be handled as private Competition submissions and will not automatically be published.

28.9. Access to submitted videos will be restricted to authorised individuals involved in the administration, verification, judging, or other legitimate management of the Competition.

28.10. The marketing permission described in Clause 12 authorises the uses expressly described in these rules. It does not authorise unrelated disclosures of confidential information.

28.11. Once a video or story is published with the required permission, members of the public may view, share, copy, or otherwise interact with that content in ways the Organiser cannot fully control.

28.12. The Organiser will not guarantee that published material can always be completely removed from the internet or recovered from third parties.

28.13. The Organiser will nevertheless consider legitimate concerns about published material and respond in accordance with applicable law and the circumstances.

29. MARKETING, PUBLICITY AND TESTIMONIAL INTEGRITY

29.1. An entrant who provides the mandatory marketing consent authorises Best Life Catalyst to use the submitted video, story, and relevant excerpts for the marketing, promotional, educational, and awareness purposes described in Clause 12.

29.2. The permitted uses may include publication on the Best Life Catalyst website, social media accounts, marketing materials, presentations, and events.

29.3. The Organiser may make reasonable technical and editorial adaptations to submitted material, including trimming, formatting, adding captions, preparing subtitles, and selecting relevant excerpts.

29.4. Any such adaptation must not knowingly distort the meaning of the entrant's statements or materially misrepresent the experience described.

29.5. The Organiser will not knowingly fabricate statements or attribute words to an entrant that the entrant did not communicate.

29.6. The Organiser will not knowingly present an individual testimonial as proof that every person will experience the same outcome.

29.7. An entrant's experience must not be represented as a guaranteed result or a promise of a particular therapeutic or personal-development outcome for others.

29.8. The Organiser may identify the entrant using the real name or alias selected on the entry form, subject to applicable law and legitimate administrative requirements.

29.9. The Organiser will take reasonable steps to follow the selected public-attribution preference.

29.10. Where a Ripple Effect story is used, the Organiser must also respect the scope of the qualifying client's permission and any applicable legal requirements.

29.11. An entrant's participation does not oblige them to provide additional testimonials, attend interviews, record further promotional videos, or participate in future marketing activities.

29.12. Any additional publicity activity requiring a new or different permission must be addressed separately where required by applicable law.

29.13. The Organiser will not require a winner to make a positive statement about a service they have not experienced or to endorse an outcome they do not genuinely believe occurred.

29.14. The Competition's marketing purpose does not override applicable privacy, confidentiality, consumer-protection, or other legal obligations.

30. TECHNICAL FAILURES AND CIRCUMSTANCES OUTSIDE THE ORGANISER'S CONTROL

30.1. The Organiser will take reasonable steps to ensure that the Competition webpage and submission process operate as intended.

30.2. The Organiser cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability of the Competition webpage or the entrant's internet connection, device, or third-party applications.

30.3. Circumstances outside the Organiser's reasonable control may include:

a. Internet or telecommunications outages.

b. Device or software failures.

c. Third-party hosting or storage interruptions.

d. Cybersecurity incidents.

e. Power interruptions.

f. Natural disasters or other significant emergencies.

g. Government restrictions or other legal requirements.

h. Other events that materially affect the operation of the Competition.

30.4. If a technical failure materially affects the Competition, the Organiser will consider reasonable steps to address the issue, subject to applicable law.

30.5. Where appropriate, the Organiser may communicate an extension, revised administrative arrangement, or other reasonable measure to protect the fairness of the Competition.

30.6. The Organiser will not make a material change to the Competition merely for convenience where that change would unfairly disadvantage entrants.

30.7. Any material change, postponement, or cancellation will be communicated appropriately and handled in accordance with applicable law and any applicable promotional-competition requirements.

30.8. Nothing in this clause excludes or limits a responsibility that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

31. CHANGES, SUSPENSION OR CANCELLATION OF THE COMPETITION

31.1. The Organiser intends to conduct the Competition in accordance with these published rules.

31.2. The Organiser will not make arbitrary changes to the eligibility requirements, judging criteria, or prize arrangements after entries have opened.

31.3. If a change becomes necessary because of a legal requirement, a serious technical problem, fraud, an event outside the Organiser's reasonable control, or another legitimate circumstance, the Organiser will consider the least disruptive reasonable solution.

31.4. Any material amendment, suspension, postponement, or cancellation will be handled in accordance with applicable law.

31.5. Where legally required, the Organiser will obtain any necessary approval before changing or cancelling a promotional competition.

31.6. The Organiser will communicate any material change through an appropriate channel.

31.7. The Organiser will not use this clause to avoid awarding a prize merely because the Competition attracts more entries than expected or because the Organiser changes its commercial priorities.

31.8. Any decision affecting entrants' rights will be made consistently with applicable law and the published rules.

32. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

32.1. Nothing in these rules excludes, restricts, or limits a right, remedy, liability, or obligation that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted, or limited under South African law.

32.2. Subject to Clause 32.1, the Organiser will not be responsible for a failure to receive an entry caused by circumstances outside its reasonable control, including the entrant's device, internet connection, or a third-party technical failure.

32.3. The entrant is responsible for ensuring that the submitted video and any material included in it may lawfully be submitted and used for the purposes authorised by these rules.

32.4. The entrant should retain a copy of the submitted video and should not rely on the Competition submission system as their sole storage location.

32.5. The Organiser will take reasonable steps to protect submitted material but does not guarantee that no technical incident or unauthorised access will ever occur.

32.6. The Organiser will address any security or privacy incident in accordance with applicable law and its relevant legal obligations.

32.7. The Organiser will not be responsible for the independent actions of third parties who copy or share content after it has been lawfully published, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

32.8. Nothing in these rules removes any applicable responsibility the Organiser may have concerning the lawful collection, use, storage, security, or publication of personal information.

32.9. Nothing in these rules guarantees that a participant will achieve a particular therapeutic, emotional, professional, financial, or personal-development outcome.

32.10. The Competition and its prizes must not be interpreted as a promise that the Stop Shrinking Targeted programme will produce identical results for every participant.

33. COMPLAINTS AND QUERIES

33.1. Questions, concerns, or complaints about the Competition may be submitted to Best Life Catalyst through the business contact details published on its official website.

33.2. A person raising a concern should provide sufficient information to allow the Organiser to identify the relevant entry or issue.

33.3. The Organiser will consider Competition-related concerns reasonably and in good faith.

33.4. Where appropriate, the Organiser may request additional information to investigate a complaint or resolve an administrative issue.

33.5. A complaint concerning personal information, marketing consent, confidentiality, or publication of a testimonial will be considered with appropriate regard for the rights and interests of the people concerned.

33.6. A complaint will not automatically disqualify an entrant or invalidate an otherwise eligible entry.

33.7. The Organiser will aim to respond within a reasonable period, taking account of the nature and complexity of the concern.

33.8. Nothing in this clause prevents a person from exercising a statutory right or approaching a competent regulatory body or court.

34. APPLICABLE LAW AND JURISDICTION

34.1. The Competition will be administered in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa.

34.2. These rules will be interpreted in a manner consistent with applicable South African law.

34.3. Any dispute arising from the Competition will be addressed in accordance with the applicable legal framework.

34.4. Nothing in these rules prevents a participant from exercising any right available under applicable consumer-protection, privacy, or other legislation.

34.5. If a provision of these rules is found to be unlawful, invalid, or unenforceable, that provision will be treated in accordance with applicable law without automatically invalidating the remaining provisions.

34.6. The Organiser will not rely on any provision of these rules to avoid a legal obligation that cannot lawfully be excluded.

35. GENERAL PROVISIONS

35.1. These rules govern participation in the Best Life Catalyst Appreciation Competition.

35.2. The Competition webpage, the official entry form, the applicable privacy notice, and these rules should be read together.

35.3. Where the Competition webpage contains a summary of the rules, the full approved terms and conditions must remain accessible to entrants.
